Enemies- Unreleased 10"
Genre: post rock, math rock
Enemies is an awesome band from Scotland and they recently tried to release an EP that, due to some tomfoolery, was never released. So they're giving it away for free. And it's really good.

Check out their MySpace page for more sweet tracks, especially "Two Lads."

Bibio- Vignetting the Compost
Genre: acoustic, lo-fi, indie
Sixteen hoppy, warm folk songs drenched in lo-fi smoothness. I think there needs to be a little more structure/songwriting here instead of just random little pieces thrown together, but there are some really excellent melodies and acoustic riffage in here. He also does some pretty sweet remixes, a few of which are on his MySpace page.

New Pretend Song- Guided Spirits/Guilded Souls
If you haven't heard Pretend yet, listen to their first song, "those luminous noises are god," first, then check out this new track. It's not as cohesive as the first track, but still has that unique ethereal quality that makes you sign in relief at the end, like everything's gonna be okay. Amazing stuff.

Here it is. Feel free to supplement, take out, whatever. You may already know a lot of these, but that's kinda the point, right? Summer is about nostalgia... smelling the flowers, etc.

Kingsbury Manx- Ascenseur Ouvert!
Genre: folk rock, folk pop
Folk rock mixed with some nice elements of modern folk, such as twinkly keys, lots of reverb, and double and triple harmonies. It stays kinda low key the whole time, but you don't really want it to pick up. Good for chillin.

Diamond Watch Wrists- Ice Capped at Both Ends
Genre: experimental, electronica, chillout
Zach Hill on drums with Prefuse 73 making beats, acoustic diddies, and singing. Pretty much like one really long chillout song, with some pretty sweet stuff goin on. Great paper writing music.
