Genre: folk rock
The first song released from the new Phosphorescent album was a feel good romp without much substance, but "Mermaid Parade" gives me my hope back. I need some sadness from a Phosphorescent album. This is a lot like the song sounded live, which could be good or bad. I really liked the stripped down feel of Pride, so I don't know how a whole album of full band songs will turn out. Still hyped though, and I will probably love it.

Jay Dee - Donuts
Smoothest instrumental hip hop album ever by one of the most renowned and influential hip hop producers ever. Experimental, yet mildly old school feel with fantastic sample placement and manipulation. Make this the soundtrack to your next sunny grillout day.

J. Tillman Daytrotter Session
Genre: indie, folk-rock, singer/songwriter
I don't usually post these, but this one sounds great and has some really great songs. J. Tillman (drummer for Fleet Foxes) is a really amazing songwriter and these arrangements are spot on. If you like Fleet Foxes, Phosphorescent, or Wilco, check these out.
