Genre: electronica rock
Dark and brooding but still gets your foot movin, great album from our buddy Ian. His live show is also great from what I've seen. There are a bunch of albums on here, all a little different, check it out.

You Blew It!- The Past in Present
Genre: math indie emo
Nice little emo record from You Blew It! on Good Friends Records. Very similar to Algernon Cadwallader, American Football, and Look Mexico. Pleasant way to start off your autumn, and my first worthwhile post in like a month.

Kopecky Family Band- The Disaster
Genre: classical indie rock
Great band with some great folks from Belmont where I go to school. Sort of commercial sounding indie chamber pop but with some indie fresh lyrics and great musicianship. See them at CMJ!

White Denim- Last Day of Summer
Genre: indie rock, psych rock
White Denim surprisingly released a free album on their website, and it's really great. It's a collection of tracks that have just never gotten recorded, and some are much chiller than the usual psych rock stuff, although there's some of that too. Gets pretty jazzy at points. A nice album to enter fall with.

Built to Spill- Keep it Like a Secret
Genre: indie rock
Just discovered this album, and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites. "Sidewalks" is an absolute jam, while Doug Marsch shows off his songwriting in "You Were Wrong" by using classic rock lyrics in a new way. Great guitar wizardry and engineering. A must-listen for 90's indie rock fans.
