Sorry for all the jazz posts, but so often the sound of lively, swinging improvisation is the only music sound I care to have my ears filled with. It always cheers me up when I am down. Blakey was such a powerful and expressive drummer on every record he ever appeared on, but this one really stands out. He is an absolute beast here, doing cartwheels around the meter while keeping it all groovy, swinging and centered.
