Prefuse 73 "Meditation Upon Meditations (The Japanese Diaries)"

Heyheyhey there sorry for the inactive month of June. This should get you excited if you havn't heard it though. Its a Prefuse 73 Japanese only release that dropped in April 09', and its not a collection of throwaway b-sides. Its more of the intricately constructed material the man is well known for, though more artistically abstract and laid back than his earlier work under this moniker. Equally good for laying under the covers with headphones or blasting on your car stereo. Don't let some of the long intros persuade you to change the track. The beat is coming....I promise;)

ps. a big announcement for every bunny is coming soon. stay tuned.

Jeff Tweedy Sings Beyonce's "Single Ladies"

This is hilarious.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. Tyler's got lots of music going on, and I have lots of life going on. Don't forget about us.

David Karsten Daniels and Fight the Big Bull- I Mean to Live Here Still

Genre: singer/songwriter, orchestral pop, indie

You can now stream David Karsten Daniels' new album "I Mean to Live Here Still," in it's entirety on NPR's website. It's not too far away from his previous releases despite the addition of nu jazz band Fight the Big Bull. I enjoyed it a lot, check it out if you've enjoyed his other work or enjoy a little big band flavor.

Maps and Atlases- Perch Patchwork

Genre: indie

I'm not supporting pirating good music, but this is just too exciting. Upon first listen, much more straightforward than the last EP, which is disappointing. But it might be a grower. High points include previously heard "Israeli Caves," and "Pigeons," but also "Solid Ground."

"Hey Jude" Live at the White House

So this was just too good to pass up. Paul McCartney sings "Hey Jude" at the White House joined by President Obama and his family, Seinfeld, Jack White, Stevie Wonder, and what I believe is one of the Jonas Brothers. Corny. Silly. Amazing.

Taken by Trees- Anna (Remixed by CFCF)

One of the best tracks from last year gets a new spin thanks to rising producer CFCF. The melody is intact because it was amazing to begin with, but has some nice bass and guitar to back things up. I love it.
