I'm not supporting pirating good music, but this is just too exciting. Upon first listen, much more straightforward than the last EP, which is disappointing. But it might be a grower. High points include previously heard "Israeli Caves," and "Pigeons," but also "Solid Ground."

"Hey Jude" Live at the White House

So this was just too good to pass up. Paul McCartney sings "Hey Jude" at the White House joined by President Obama and his family, Seinfeld, Jack White, Stevie Wonder, and what I believe is one of the Jonas Brothers. Corny. Silly. Amazing.

One of the best tracks from last year gets a new spin thanks to rising producer CFCF. The melody is intact because it was amazing to begin with, but has some nice bass and guitar to back things up. I love it.

BONUS ROUND

Jimmy Bruno's rendition of "Giant Steps" is utterly stupifying to me. Listen at least to 1:12 when the drums come in if you are not into solo guitar jazz.

Pluvial - "for cast for give"

Hey looky here a bass/drum duo....you know how those can be, except this is not like that at all. No sir. Ok for starters, this is a fantastic recording. The bass tone really rumbles yer tummy in a soothing manner. Each drum hit crackles and sparkles perfectly. Oh and the music is real good too. Its not dull and repetitive. Its not noisy or spazzy either.

Just found a new supergroup that I'm pretty pumped about. Members of Mew, Coldplay, and fuckin' AH-HA. Sounds a lot like Mew but glitchier and heavier. You can listen to most of their new album at the myspace.
