Sargent House- Best Label of 2008

I feel like this needs to be stated. Below are some of their releases this year, and I must say, they are all stunningly great. They have a great variety of bands, from experimental to folky to metal to post-punk. Be on the lookout for this label soon, they are doing real well. Their current roster:

Maps and Atlases
This Town Needs Guns
These Arms are Snakes
Good Old War
Omar Rodriguez Lopez
Red Sparrowes
Russian Circles
Rx Bandits
Love You Moon
AND MOST RECENTLY: Bygones (Zach Hill and Nick Reinhart )

Maps and Atlases- You and Me and the Mountain

These Arms are Snakes/Russian Circles Split EP (couldn't find TAAS full length)

Tera Melos/By the End of Tonight- Complex Full of Phantoms

This Town Needs Guns- Animals
(see last month's blog)

Good Old War- Only Way to Be Alone

Red Sparrowes- Every Red Heart Shines Toward the Red Sun (2006)
