Owls- Owls

Genre: indie, experimental, avant-garde?

Probably my favorite Kinsella project. They only put out one CD and one track on a sampler, and it was all really good. Check it out if you like any other Kinsella bands. It's way better than the last three Joan of Arc releases and the last two Make Believe CDs (at least).

Owls and The One Up Downstairs were both awesome. For me, American Football was the best that any of the Kinsella boys have come up with, but I'm partial to Mike, he's actually a really cool guy to talk to.

This is one of the the best albums ever recorded. It is certainly the best Kinsella-centric project.

i enjoyed "Of Course" somewhat, but not "Bone Church." but neither stands close to "Shock of Being" or the S/T one. I might love the first two Joan of Arc albums combined more than this CD... but it's close.

It would be great to have the password to this - wanted to hear this album for so long.

Owls was high school for me. I love the jazz influence you hear from the slides that leave some people nodding in agreement and the more orderly shaking their heads because they produced one of the most estranged note combos anyone has ever heard. Then they rock your mind with something ridiculously beautiful. Timeless to me. Not for everyone. I listen to a ton of music and this by far still stands as my top band. So check it if your mind is open. Only Tyler knows why I put so much thought on this.
